How to setup presets

Presets are a powerful tool to automate your production. They allow you to save and recall camera positions and apply component settings (e.g. activate auto tracking). This guide will show you how to use them. For this guide, we assume that you have already set up a project, added a camera and set up the PTZ controller.

Create a new preset

1. Go to the Devices view.
2. Move the camera that you want to make a preset for to the desired position (either with an external controller or the built-in joystick). Note that you may have to pause the director of the camera!
3. Click on the Add preset icon button on the bottom right of the device card you want to create a preset for. A dialog window will show up:
4. You can now add a preset name and other metadata for later use. Select the commands you want to be executed when the preset is recalled. Depending on the installed components, you can select their current settings and enable/disable them.
5. Click Create preset to save the preset. It will now show up on the Presets page.

Recall, modify and delete presets

1. Go to the Presets page.
2. You can filter the presets by cameras and keywords.
3. Click on the play icon to recall the preset. When the camera reaches the preset position, the image will switch to the current live feed. If you're unhappy with the saved position, click the quick edit button , correct the camera position and hit . The preset will be updated automatically.
4. Click on the preset name to change the name.
5. Open the accordion () to view the preset actions and metadata or to delete the preset.
