How to setup person tracking

Ready to bring your production to life with automatic person tracking? This guide will walk you through the simple steps to get your PTZ camera to follow your subject flawlessly. Let's get started and add this important automation to your workflow!

The tracking feature allows you to automatically follow persons in your camera feed. This guide will show you how to setup person tracking with MiruSuite. For this guide we assume you have already setup a project.

Add a device

In the Devices view, click Add device.

Click on the default device name and give it a meaningful name.

Quick Setup

You can select Setup for AutoTracking in the device card to automatically add all neccessary components for person tracking.

This will open a model to select the correct controller. Select the controller type depending on the camera manufacturer you are using.

Setup input

Open up the accordion of the input component (click on the cogwheel symbol) and select the camera you want to use for tracking.

Setup PTZ controller

Open up the accordion of the controller (click on the cogwheel symbol) and enter the IP address of the camera.

Enable all components

Enable all components by clicking on the power button in every component card or next to the device name.

You have now successfully setup person tracking with MiruSuite. You can now adjust the director settings to your needs by opening up the director accordion.
